We certainly are in unprecedented and changing times due to the Coronavirus.
At Crossroads our highest priority is the health and wellbeing of our Crossroaders, our volunteers, our staff and the service providers and support workers who engage with us.
A lot has changed and I hope you are all practicing good hygiene by washing or sanitising your hands regularly, practicing social distancing and staying at home as much as possible to reduce the potential spread of the Coronavirus.
A couple of weeks ago we let you know that Crossroads would be closed for two weeks as we gained an understanding of the impact the Coronavirus would have. We now know more and unfortunately, due to the recent announcements by the Prime Minister; Crossroads will remain closed until the Government has lifted the restrictions on public gatherings and it is safe for the Crossroads community to gather again.
While we are closed, we want to stay in touch with you and the easiest way for us to communicate with you regularly will be through our Crossroads Gold Coast Facebook page.
If you haven’t connected with us on Facebook please click the link at the bottom of the email or when you are on Facebook, search for Crossroads Gold Coast and like the page. Then you should see our posts in your newsfeed.
To make sure we stay in contact with you during this time, we have set up the following:
- Every Friday at 10.15am we will broadcast a Crossroads Worship Service for you on Facebook. Please join us on Friday mornings and join in for worship, a Bible reading, prayer, the Crossword, announcements and a short message. Please invite your friends to join in.
- Each Wednesday we will release a video on Facebook of one of our past Crossroads Crosswords for you and your friends to sing along with and enjoy.
- During the week we will post updates and information on Facebook that we hope will be helpful for you and your friends.
- Our Crossroads team will be making phone calls to check in on you and your friends. If we have your phone number we will call you directly or we will call your direct supports or your service provider to talk with you if possible or to check in and see how you are going.
- Email communications will be sent out on a regular basis to keep as many people as possible updated on Crossroads and when we will return.
