Newlife Care

Our History

Newlife Care grew from the Mission of the former Rev. John Tully (OAM) who started The New Life Ministry at Street Level Incorporated. The mission counselled people who had drug, alcohol or gambling addictions or difficult personal relationships. The team educated people to avoid such difficulties and trained people in counselling.

The first few years of the mission were spent in a first-floor office on the corner of Cavill and Orchid Avenues, then the Team moved into the office in the grounds of the Clifford Street Uniting church.

When Clifford Street closed they joined with a number of other churches to form Robina-Surfers Paradise Uniting Church, Newlife Ministry at Street Level moved to the current site at Greenwich Court, Robina.

When John (and his wife Annette) retired, the ministry was changed to Newlife Care Inc and the service was expanded to incorporate a broader range of help and support. John Tully was awarded with the Order of Australia for his work in addictions and counselling.
